Style
Personal style isn’t about following rules. It’s about knowing which ones to break.
This category covers everything that shapes how you show up: clothing, hairstyles, grooming, and the accessories that pull an outfit together. We write real guides, not vague inspiration. Every piece here helps you make an actual decision about what to wear or how to style yourself.
What you’ll find here
Finding your style Not sure what your style even is? We cover how to find your personal style, build a capsule wardrobe, and figure out your wardrobe essentials. These guides start with the basics, so they work whether you’re just getting into fashion or refining what you already wear.
Outfit ideas We cover outfits for real situations: office wear, interviews, wedding guest looks, date nights, and travel. Each guide breaks down what to wear and why it works, not just a list of clothes.
Clothing guides From shirts and blazers to jeans and dresses, we cover the pieces worth owning and how to style them. This includes footwear too, like sneakers, boots, and loafers, since shoes tend to make or break an outfit.
Fashion styles Minimalist, old money, quiet luxury, streetwear, vintage, boho. Each style has its own rules, and we break down what defines each one and how to actually wear it, instead of just admiring it in photos.
Hairstyles and grooming We cover haircuts by face shape, trending hairstyles, and beard styles for men. This section also includes grooming basics like skincare, shaving, and fragrance, since personal style goes beyond clothes.
Accessories Watches, bags, jewelry, belts, and sunglasses can change an outfit more than people expect. We cover how to choose and style them the right way.
Color and layering Color combinations and layering trip up more people than they should. We break down what colors work together and how to layer clothes without looking bulky.
Seasonal style Fashion changes with the weather. We cover spring, summer, fall, and winter style, along with what to wear during the rainy season and holiday events.
Who’s writing this
Theo Marchand writes Style at ObviousLuxe. He studied Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins, where he focused on how tailoring and proportion shape the way clothing actually moves. Before writing full-time, he worked as a design assistant in Paris. That background shows in how he writes here. He treats clothing the way a designer would, through structure and detail, not just trends.
Our approach
We won’t tell you to buy a new wardrobe every season, and we won’t push a “rule” just because it’s trending. Instead, we write style guides built around fit, structure, and what actually works for real bodies and real budgets.
